Project results
- Network of Nordic and Russian specialists including representatives of regional and local authorities, energy-efficiency centers and business companies, research institutions and environmental NGOs, as well as international organizations is established;
- Professional competence and skills level of the project participants are upgraded;
- Nordic policy on sustainable production and use of renewable energy is learnt and evaluated;
- Strategy on Heating Supply of the Republic of Karelia for
2014-2020 is prepared as a pilot document.

Bioenergy Forum.Main themes: dynamics of the development of bioenergy in Finland, Sweden and the Republic of Karelia, challenges of sustainable forest management and conservation of natural resources, latest technologies in the use of local energy resources. - September 2013, Västerbotten
A group of specialists in the field of energy from Karelia, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk regions visited a number of renewable energyfacilities in the province of Västerbotten, Sweden. 2013-2014 Drafting “Strategy of Heat Supply of the Republic of Karelia Basing on the Local Biofuels until 2020”- November 2013, Arkhangelsk.
Participants of the workshop “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency”, held in Arkhangelsk, came to the conclusion that development of renewable energy in Russia is the question of the near future. - February 2014, Arkhangelsk
Two project events — training seminar “Energy conservation and energy efficiency in housing and communal services” and a round table “Problems of networking research and educational institutions in the field of energy saving in the North-West Russia” took place in the Integrated Learning Center in the field of energy efficiency at Northern (Arctic) Federal University. - March, October 2014, Petrozavodsk
